Wow, you never fail to impress with your vision and skill.
I’m guessing The Man in Black, the late, great Johnny Cash would have totally dug this beautiful, tastefully modded truck. Probably Bob Ross would have too.
Excellent as always. John, in Connecticut

Blown away by the rectangle effect that you've sewn into the panels, stunning stuff.
And who doesn't like a bit of (faux) suede?
Always a treat to see your work, keep it coming please..

Last little bit of interior. In that last pic you can see the residue of the chalk I used to lay the pattern out. This will wipe off easy...

The center console is out of a 1963 Ford Falcon (only available with bucket seats). Its a popular sought after part, I had it in my 1964 Falcon before I put it in the truck. But now that I toned down the chrome in the truck quite a bit it had too much of a Wurlitzer jukebox vibe. So I took it apart. And painted the spaces between the fins black. Back in those days, Ford had a party trick to make sheet metal look like leather ( or vinyl). They used this on the inside of the doors on early Mustangs, and the sides of this console. I wrapped the sides in the same faux suede I have in the tranny tunnel, to make it match better. Put back together with the seats mounted, it looked like this.

So that's it. Truck is pretty much done. There are some small things to do -make nicer spacers under the seats. -put the inside door handles in ( not back from the powder coater yet). -Fix the wiring ( it has a strange problem, but I think I know where to look). -put the grille on ( not back from the chrome shop yet) -give it a good clean ( dust is always a problem in the desert, specially on a black vehicle). I made an appointment with a air conditioner shop to get the system charged. It will go back to the painter to fix a couple of things ( small chips and scrapes that happen when you assemble an entire vehicle, and one bigger one that happened when the battery charger fell over onto the rear fender). Really the only thing that will photograph well is the grille. When that comes back, I'll post some pics. So for now, these are the last build pics of the truck...

I love it, and really looking forward to pics of the finished thing. Most people say projects are never finished, but the work you've put in and the quality of that work you can genuinely say it is finished.
I do feel a bit sad though as I've enjoyed following this and I feel like I'm going to miss it...

Nice way to start a Monday morning. Update time, even if this signals the end of the build. Interior looks as it should, the darkening, and adding of the centre console makes it all look very factory, and that is what subtle is about for me. It is also with the door panel fitted that the visual power of the two tone interior really pops out, and I am sure at a car show, in your shop, or driving in it, you will get an even better feel for how well it works. Your grey tone actually has a visual feeling of plushness and luxury. If that makes sense. As is often the case, those of us who follow your builds, will have a small idea of what you have done to date, a passerby may just see a pretty, shiny black truck. This is so much more, especially when you add the heritage and history to the story.

Thank you for all the nice words, guys. Future plans are, to first clean up and reorganize my workspace. The last couple of little things on the truck are going to happen at their own pace ( whenever the last missing parts come in, etc ) And in the mean time, I'm getting back on the '32 to finish it ( or at least get it to a good stopping point) The Spaceframe Fiat 500 racecar needs to be worked on too ( I'm really curious if some of my experimental solutions work on the track, and will give good laptimes). And I've got another project waiting in the wings. That one is a bit special, because it has a link to a more well known car from the past. It will be a big resto, I've been collecting parts for it for years. ( that's all I'll say about it for now, until the build has truly started and has gathered its own momentum...) Thank you all for your support and encouragement. I really appreciate it.

Fantastic.
Most of us struggle to keep on top of projects, let alone actually get them to this level of finished. I’ve been “almost” done on my Land-Rover since 1995 🤣
Looking forward to the final pictures with the grille in place, and to hear what it’s like to live with as your regular driver.
Also looking forward to the new mystery project too. 👍👍
