Hiya guys and gals, just thought I'd share our build with you ( my son and I) have just purchased a project..1964 Anglia 105e on a space frame type of chassis, it is/was fitted with a Nissan skyline engine and a Sierra/cossie based rear axle and mk 2 escort front end? We decided against using the Nissan engine because of the agro using modern technology/wiring..so that's been sold and I found a nice basic Chevy small block v8 ( would have preferred to keep it all Ford but hey ho)

So at the weekend I managed to take off the old mk 2 escort x-member and make a new one and fit/weld into place, and now we have the steering rack working correctly and not backwards? Fingers crossed the guy turns up to collect the Nissan engine on Sunday and we can collect the small block?

So we moved the Anglia out and drove the van round to the garage..spent more time debating how to get the engine out then what it took to get out π We used my old engine hoist and of course it decided to pack up? We just barely got the engine over the front and dropped it in..

So steering column is mocked up and tacked in place, and weve fitted the new front brake calipers and discs, rear discs turned up today so hopefully at the weekend we can resemble the back axle?

I like where this is going! Would have been entertaining with an RB in it, but V8 ticks all the boxes.

Yes I'm sure it would have been fun,but I am absolutely rubbish with electrical stuff and the engine just looked to busy for me? Chevy v8 is nice and simple π...and more room to work on..roll on the weekend π

So after a couple of weeks of nothing getting achieved, we finally got the steering column in place, moved it over enough to clear the exhaust and starter motor and only needed one uj each end..also fitted the alternator and some extra box sections under the seat area

Pot noodle intake was apparently there to stop the mice and bugs getting in?π So today I received 2 parcels in the post, finally the correct rear axle seals (cossie) and the balance bar,2 master cylinders and brake reservoir (IVA correct)fingers crossed I can get some work done over the weekend?
