Oooo, that's very nice seen your '50 clone on its way in and out of bognor. not anymore, its up for sale again on Edition 38 with a spare G40 engine for 2900 right now, i sold it in february to a guy called Mitch from Cannock |

Now, what's the 'protocol' for under the bonnet.
I'm not mad for the total "paint everything you can't hide" vibe (although that car does look magnificent), purely because I am a moron and I will only spill fluids over it (oo er)... but what's the method for removing the really ingrained much that you find under the average bonnet. I've tried everything short of Cillit Bang with little success. I'd like some minty clean strut-top & bulkhead action, and a nice polished up cam cover OM NOM NOM.

I love it ! Can't understand why there are so many negative or sarcastic comments on here about it (but maybe I'm biased cos I drive a polo myself  ) If I saw a car I wasn't overly keen on to start with but that was done really well like that I wouldn't slag it off by calling it shiny wibblepoo for example   . |

Jizer/Gunk followed by TFR is the way to initially clean it, then its out with the Autoglym to polish it up  Its worth it as its a lot easier to keep it clean once its been done once. For the record I like that Polo, and I like the colour combination and colour coded gearbox, but I could never be that "Anal" about it, as I need to drive it hard ;D |
