Well this wasn’t supposed to happen! With the escort van sold and the Mercedes clk on the drive and a house move on the way, I didn’t need another car But hey when something very low mileage and mint comes along for very sensible money who am I to turn it down?? The car is a one owner 23,000 mile 1995 mk3 fiesta frascati 1.3 with leccy windows and airbags and sunroof which is rarity so I’m told The colour is tourmallard green and it’s absolutely sensational throughout Tbh it is one those cars that just shouldn’t be modified I only plan a wheel change and a 30mm lower And I will keep all the original parts so it can be put back to standard at anytime, I’m well pleased with the car and intend to keep it for summer use and occasional meets shows etc

Spent the day giving the fiesta a good clean As ever I’ve found a few marks commensurate with an elderly owner But nothing that can’t be sorted easily I gave the car a good claybar then a good warm water autofinesse wash n wax treatment Then finally a good coat of autofinesse tripple polish A great finish has been achieved Now I need to order some 30mm springs and look at some 13” new alloys I’d also bought some gliptone leather cleaner at the nec Saturday So my clk interior got a spruce up And gave the merc a quick wash n polish too

The idea I had for the little fiesta was just a very slight lower by 30mm, and some original Ford alloys in 13” Now as most people know Ford parts are just ridiculously priced these days and after chasing a few sets of wheels I managed to buy some genuine RS2000 alloys With two Capri laser wheels thrown in on the deal This afternoon I started with my cetem polishing kit on my drill The rest I’ll do over the next week or so The result is quite good and I’m pleased with them And after an hour or so today one is nearly done

I get really sad every time you go back on your word Dan.
No space, no more cars, not modifying, ……
Then you drop another one on us.
You really should leave the old cars to those of us who need them more than you.
PS: Nice score.

Took the Mercedes down for an mot at the weekend Passed with absolutely no advisories The car drives absolutely fantastic, a real nice taught and quiet luxury car, put the plate I had on retention on and now I’ll use it sparingly, the fiesta will get four new tyres shortly on the rs alloys, and shortly fingers crossed our house move should be complete to move the cars to our new home

Had a good tidy in my garage yesterday in preparation for the coming house move and got the fiesta out for a quick wipe over and a run out for half hour A have fitted 30mm lowered springs on it, not silly low just a tad lower , I need to get the tyres for the rs alloys shortly Then it’ll go to my parents house for storage until we move

Nice wheels.
Time to change your signature.
I was going to make a naughty suggestion, but have decided your friendship and the fact you will be driving past my house every day, is worth more than poking the hornets nest.
Amazing what difference a few hours of polishing made.

I actually found it a tad demoralising last year. I went to the odd meet & belong to groups on social media for 'retro/modified cars and saw so, so many cars that were never retro, looked sh*te or just modern, like 3, 4, 5 year old cars. Then I come on here and see you with another 'modern' and I think, 'Yes, if you are modding one, THIS is how you do it!!! There isn't a motor you have put onto these hallowed pages that I haven't admired for the quality of build, the detailing, the thinking and the skill of making something so much better that, ordinarily, could be seen as a bit vanilla. You have made a modernish boggo Fiesta look cool. Good work again Dan.

Thank you^^^^😁it’s good to not spend fortunes and still enjoy doing what I’ve been doing for 35 years , Playing about with cars and enjoying being in the garage away from the stress of work and family life!!! It’s a great hobby and there’s still so many cheap cars out there to buy and modify or leave stock
