Hi people, Been a few years since I done a thread on here. life took over, needs must and all that, but I'm still here, and now Got this project that might interest you all.. Last year I got a Bluey daily project because my daily was too reliable, efficient, and got me to work on time. 😅 So, I had to have something that was 30+ years and as boxy as possible. Here is when I got it. Enough laqueer peal, some interesting choice of wheels, howeverthe interior convinced me I should own it. will continue to update this with pics and progress, some of you may have seen it atthe gathering this year. heres when it got delivered.

I like the mesh wheels if you are not using them let me know and I'll try get some cash together for them. Just bought a load of spares will have them start of next week if there's anything here you need 👍 Cheers Chap, ok for parts atm but will drop you a messaging I need anything from that list. Regarding the mesh wheels, I didn't buy them in the end.

Love this, my mum and dad both had bluebirds about 20 years ago. We got rid of them both when my dad passed away in favour of an MR2. I always felt they were boxy and not at all cool, but nowadays I wish to god we had kept them. Dads was a higher spec saloon rather than mums hatchback, and had all 4 electric windows (3 even worked! 😂) Like most things now I guess, the cars we used to have and what they could be now eh? I’ll be following for my nostalgia, and I LOVE your wheel choice!

I was surprised everything worked on this - all power windows, sunroof, all dash intact. Yes funny that. Way back then, I thought getting picked up from school in a 505 it wasn't cool because it had handcrank windows at the back.🤷♂️

So the car sat around since the weekender21, done a few local meets, at this point it went from a diary to a project 🤣🤣. Weekend before the gathering 21 woke up on a Sunday and decided the car was missing something and I couldn't take it to the gathering as it.. spoke to Rich about Montana, and got ordering. Tuesday the paint arrives.. Thursday after work I start stripping the trim, sanding the crappy lacquer peal on the ns bonnet and boot. Friday paint goes on like magic, left to air dry Saturday morning get back in fit all the brightwork and bits I had taken off before paint. An drive straight to gathering.

I love how the panel form makes it look like they're genuinely differently colours, looks great! It almost looks photoshopped! Brave choice on colour but it looks amazing!
