	They were fitted to very old A series cars,bolted to the suspension arms before hydraulic dampers became commonplace. The older cars had friction dampers and these batteurs help to cancel out the forces . Totally obsolete and as they increase the unsprung weight don't aid the handling. Imagine driving acrossa ploughed field however.....
