JustJohnny called this evening with his steering Columb all cleaned up stalk bare metalled. He masked up steering box and zink primed the rest, later on in the evening it was 2k brushed black, with a very high gloss finish. Fair play to him
Tonight after a bad weekend we got tore in again. Finished off the welding on back end. Then cut out middle of rear inner wing, was full of pin holes so best was just cut it out. Showed Johnny how to make and put in recess. He was well pleased. Cut small area on top and filled in a lot of pin holes. Then Johnny wire brushed ground down everything before zinq priming good job.
just had a wee look at the inner wing the jotlin zinc primer dryed out very well ,great finish well worth the money ,used to paint the keels on ships , next weld in 3 wing studs then seam seal and stone chip
Had my first craic at heating up the dents and knocking out the low spots and bringing in the high spots. Gave the back wheel arch another spray of stone chip. Another wee bit done. that was johnny not me lol
Well after being sick again, we got a bit more done. I marked out what we where going to do and cut. Starting at the boot area bottoms we cut there first. Making new repair panels. Then 2 top sides to where the panel curved, then 1 large piece across the top. Marking where the support pieces get welded, and johhny removed the boot latch which we had heated up, came of then very easy. The top pice we cut relief cuts to allow the panel to follow the cure drilled hold to secure support brackets
