...of course this happens just in time for the Gathering.
Noticed the other day at cold idle an occasional miss...put it down to lack of use and the cold/wet weather.
Did an oil change today and it's gotten worse - to the point where it's undrivable. Constant hunting at idle, or just stalling.
Distributor Cap / leads seem fine, no obvious split pipes anywhere...thoughts? Windsor 302 small block V8.

Going to clean out the IAC and see if that helps...interwebs seem to suggest that's a common fault and all the symptoms fit.

I was going to suggest cleaning out the idle stabilisation valve and make sure it works, and check for any air leaks with it running and careful use of WD40 to see if it improves/worsens the idle any where it is squirted

As above especially for air leaks, I had a similar vintage EEIV efi SIerra which did the same when a breather pipe dropped off, also give all the connectors to the various sensors a wiggle with it running to see if any have any effect.

Cheers folks...the AIC valve was pretty coked up. A proper dousing in carb cleaner made things 90% better. Took her for a little jaunt and all seems well again.
Probably didn't help that it's been wet and cold, and I've only had her started to idle on the drive for aaages whilst I checked a stereo feedback loop.
RRG is agogo again 😊
Mind you, it's only Tuesday 😂

And now it's Wednesday, and the problem is as bad as ever. Balls.

Well that was a bit embarrassing but, like the good RR'er I am, I'll own my mistakes.
Turns out not 1 but 2 HT leads weren't snuggly refitted after I was playing with my spark plugs the other week. They go in at a jaunty angle and I hadn't given them the final bit of oomph they required.
Until tomorrow...

At least it was simple.
