Hi all,
I'm in the midst of trying to swap a Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine into a Yaris. I am fairly confident dealing with wiring looms and schematics and have begun the process of sorting the looms out. Currently in my head this goes as so:
The Celica has an Engine ECU which I will be using, stripping the ABS, SRS and Body ECU wiring out to leave just the engine portion. The Yaris meanwhile is a simpler beast and a lot of the lights etc. all run off simple switches and relay logic, so this can stay as is and the engine loom can be removed to make way for the Celica kit.. Simple so far, right?
Now come my concerns/questions, in no particular order:
I appreciate this is a somewhat specific question set and I'm not hugely hopeful- it requires some understanding of the internal architecture of the ECU..
But anything is appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom
