Hello all, it's been a while. After many years of saving, i've finally got hold of my realistic dream car, and it's just as good as i'd hoped.    Loving it, i've got BC Ultra lows ready to go on, and am currently on the hunt for some good wheels  So far the only alteration i've made is applying a very 80's sunroof deflector! |

Keen to see where this goes. Loved your other cars. For now, nothing over the top! It'l be nice and low like my previous cars, on a nice set of splits Keen to get various cool period parts for this car too, being a lot more expensive than anything i've ever owned i'll be doing my best to keep it mint! I'll still have a cheap slammer on the side, i won't ever lose the itch for a cheap shed hahaha |

Love a good E28 and yours looks to be in excellent shape. Looking forward to seeing where you take this! It's mega clean tbh! Few little area's wanting attention in the future (although i kinda like the little bits of wear it has) but overall a really solid example! Nothing too OTT really, although i'd quite like to go down the ITB route with it! |

Finally, i've got rid of the boat suspension!  Josh's 1980 GX61 Also arrived the day before straight from Japan!   Much better. BC Ultra lows, you can drive it now without feeling like the body is going to fall off! Took it to retro rides gathering 8 hours later, and plonked it in the field!   Shot it a lot on 35mm, the photo's feel very period correct for the car! |

Morning all, E28's going strong, albeit one recent breakdown with a slave cylinder blowing the seal out and a 70 mile no clutch drive home..   Took it to a local view point before it's hibernation this year Got mainly maintenance work planned for it, sorting oil leaks and sloppy bushes, and some body work on the one rear arch to get it fresh for my drive to Austria next year I am after some 5x120 17" splits / 80's 90's single piece rims if anyone has anything cool going! |

Hello all, Made some progress on the old barge, got it booked in for the rear arch to be repaired at the end of the month also Started removing the horrible old spray on protective stuff, thankfully no big holes hiding behind it.   Looks so much better! Just a shame it's horrendous to remove! Oh i've also bought some wheels at last, BBS Kersher 3 piece splits.    UWell happy with them! |

Loads of springs rates available too! I'd looked at the MTS kit as well, but not a lot of info on it unfortunately. BC's seem to be supported by a few air spring manufactures aswell, which is nice option to have! |

MTS are great value for money, just not as advanced lacking damper adjustment etc. My friend had a set on his Polo, good for the money! On the 28 i'd definitely do what i've done however and go for the upper market as the ride quality is fantastic |

Small update my 28's had a charging issue since the day i've had it, only ever charging at 12.1v. Assuming alternator, i bought a replacement, and only after removing it did i realise the issue.  Earth strap was toast, but a replacement is £30!!! No thanks, so i made one instead.  replaced an working nicely, at 14.2v  front track arms and centre rack arrived, mine is all sloppy and the track arms are seized solid, so i'm just replacing the lot next week while it's in the body shop for some light arch repairs.  Clears fitted!! Much better.  Dylan in the unit next door finally got his polo on the ground. Only 18 with no mechanical experience, done everything from a Haynes manual and a bit of googling, awesome little car. I will get him to make a thread on here!! |

The 28 is nearing completion now, a small handful of jobs left to carry out and it's good to go. Here's a little update. THE BAD  My diff fell off. Also wrote a pair of trousers off in the process, unsurprisingly the diff falling off at 50 mph didn't do it any favours, completely destroyed the end case and made a hell of a mess leaking all of the oil out!  Donor diff sorted, split it down to change the end case, cleaned up and prepped to go on.  Case off, thankfully not loads of metal floating about in it!  UNew case on, fluid in, brand new. Also got a lovely new mount and new bolts, car doesn't feel like a boat anymore which probably should've been a giveaway the mount was on it's last legs! THE GOOD  Eden @clewescustoms sorted my dodgey arch repair. Arch is now the correct shape and isn't bowed in like it was before!    Lovely stuff. Next job was paint, and i ended up having the whole bottom of the car repainted by chris @chopshopagram.  Annoyingly i don't actually have any photo's of the car from the bad side since i had the work done!!!  Also bought a donor set of tails, and replaced the amber with a nice clear white instead. |

Job done. (Almost)    Mega happy with how it looks. Engine raise, tyres and a dizzy seal left to do and thats a wrap for now! |
