Managed to pick a low mileage Ford Cougar up quite cheap, being a non-runner it is right up my street. It has the oh so common but still annoying fuelling issue and a knock from one of the corners but looks very clean and tidy for the age.
I was just wondering if anyone has managed to fix the common fault with the fuelling? I asked on Facebook and got sarcy "keep the tank full" comments. I did see an American on Youtube removed a filter on the pick up that apparently clogs and causes the issue and modded the fuel pump discharge with a check valve and some fuel hose.
May go that way but just wondering if anyone has fixed the issue? TIA.
