I like that, could do with slamming but otherwise you've got a proper cool and unusual motor. May I suggest a Bosuzuku style for contimplation. ;D

Depends on what time the entire RR population arrives at his house, if its about 8AM then its Tea for me, later then a nice can of Carlsberg will do nicely lol.

Fantastic car,.. looks cool for cruising already ,.. and plenty of potential ,.. glad the J-links are inspiring you. I think resident wheels pervert Rmad will have something suitable to suggest wheel wise,.. personally I've got a thing for Enkei wheels, Japanese in origin and super super cool Would be great on the Sigma

Excellent car! Not seen a sigma in years - in fact I think the last one I saw was the Lonsdale estate!
Do you know what PCD those wheels are? Chances are that it will be 114/4 which will open up a whole world for you.

They'd look good on a MK1 Jetta or Low-Spec MK1 Golf.

That's one cool retro ride ya got there!! Just needs lowering! ;D Swapping springs around - not sure what would fit... would the Mk2 Escort front springs be a bit stiff for the rear of the Sigma? If they're a higher spring rate the car might sit just as high as it won't compress it as much . Then again if it's something that's been tried and tested it's a different thing... Before I chopped the springs on the Benz I measured them up to see if anything else had a similar overall diameter, but a shorter length (by crawling under cars in the scrappers with a tape measure! ). Nothing was suitable so I chopped them.

thanks for all the tips guys, not sure about chopping the springs as pals vw411 is all over the place with his .standard 1100 escort springs should drop the back about two inches but the fronts gotta go down about four. gotta get the rake right . the more restrained j-car pics look fantastic and my deep dish 13s should do nicely i think.thinking about spraying it white now with some red striping like on marina gt.

Chopped springs should be OK. If the rest of the suspension is in good order anyway. I'm replacing all the rubbery bits on the Volvo at the same time as doing the springs to tighten the whole thing up.

Welcome along Mrsigma Thats one cool ride you have there - its certainly unique! I don't think i've ever knowingly seen one before. Thats the great thing about this forum, my eyes are always being opened up to a whole array of cool old/retro motors (especially the J stuff) It sounds like you've got some cool plans for it - look forward to hearing about/seeing its developments P.S; I wouldn't be too adverse to cutting down your springs - I believe thats how our resident wheel guru Rmad lowered his Cressida - though would be nice to have a spare set of standard springs as a back-up if it all went pear shaped
