Wow! Some awesome cars there. The standard of workmanship on American cars never ceases to amaze me.
Great thread - is that every donk, bubble and box in the entire world, Penski?

"Daddy, what do the drug dealers do with their money?" ;D Best reply eVar. Brilliant thread, pic dumps are the best!! It's when you see the pics of them on the street that really puts it into perspective. Chevy Caprice + Roller Grillz + Stance + 30" Chromes = I AM BETTER THAN YOU.

Some fantastic paint jobs and interiors it has to be said but those wheels - to quote from my favourite film... "jeez, what a waste of machinery!"

Wow. Really don't like the wheels, which I guess is the whole point of the scene, not a big fan of the "I have lots of money" look. Having said that, the paint jobs and finish are incredible. I kind of want to lick this car like a big Jolly Rancher or something. If that doesn't make me sound like a mental... I don't get the food and drink thing with some of them, but this is an awesome colour scheme and finish And I just plain love this, it's almost restrained and tasteful. And this looks like it will eat your children (good thing...) Who's up for a bit of scene cross-polination then? I'm thinking matt black on banded 26" tractor wheels...

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

I don't get the food and drink thing with some of them, I guessed it was sponsored paint jobs, like VW beetles and other classics can get hooked up with, interesting car - interesting product and ideal space to sell it as. Kinda ruins the "look how rich I am, Yo" thing so i may be wrong, but kinda says, "Hey Dawg, I'm up for a laugh and a crazy ride" and I like that side of it. Not a mad fan of the wheels, or the stace in a lot of cases, but some of the custom touches,,, fantastic. Awesome

I'd like to see some creative equivalents based on the same cars, rather than neggy. These (base cars) are typically the kind of yanks I wouldnt notice or care about, but pimped up, though i'm not mad on jacked stance and massive shiney wheels for the sake of it, but you notice em alright! ;D

Me no unnerstand! What I really don't get is why I like some of them even though they are on 30" rims and sky high but hate others which are the same but really like more or less all the really slammed ones.

It's the anti-engineered aspect that makes most of them unsuccessful to my way of thinking.
Those gigantic wheels are massively heavy flywheels containing tonnes of mass and inertia. They make no sense, unless you purely are after an artistic statement. (Fair play if so, and good art is in the eye of the beholder.) OR, if you need massive ground clearance, like a Humvee.
I dunno, to each his own. Interesting set of pics, Nick.

They make no sense, unless you purely are after an artistic statement Pretty much spot on from what I can see...they can't even pretend to have any other purpose than simply having huge wheels to prove that they can. The Roll-a-like fronted one is utterly horrid in my eyes, but others are cool in the way they intended - to be extreme. That green Impala ^up there^ looks like it could quite easily take some lowering!

I can't go back to page 1 because it's the equivelent of kicking my computer as hard as I can in the b*ll*cks, but if I could i'd re-post the pic near the start of the page of the red yank with the stacked round headlights (Plymouth Fury?) sat it traffic...... because until I saw that I didn't truly appreciate why people roll these cars. Engineering credence aside, the sheer presence these creations have with those wheels/stance make them just awesome! Fantastic pic dump Nick!
