A 1p coin might give 'absolute' sizeing comparison.... These days you wont find much trim in a breakers yard (on clips/poppers) to enable a simple comparison.... OVIMOR

Thats not the sort of clip I was expecting, thought it was going to be more like this style that all the manufacturers were using

The sizing was in my original link to the replacement clips from Bresco. I fear you are right about breakers yards, hence my posts about buying new.

The plastic style clips are actually used on the chrome strip under the grille, so may well be suitable if I can find them in the right size.
The link to Bresco and the alternative more expensive supplier has photos/diagrams of the cup washer that is OEM for the side rubbing strips.

Good idea about the coin. 5p is bigger than the cup washer.

When I got some for my 100E I used MGB ones as although they’re not the correct ones they would fit and were cheaper. Unfortunately I don’t have any here to check the size. Also, being a tight git I salvaged all the decent ‘cups’ I could to reuse with new rivets 😂

Anyone tell me the font used on the automatic boot badge please? Can't say 100% without a clearer picture but it looks a lot like a variant of Eurostile to me, they used it a lot at the time on their handbook covers and badging etc. Something like this

I wouldn't swear to it but I'm fairly sure that the reason why some car makers added an auto badge to their cars in those days was to notify people that it was something out of the ordinary for the UK market. Possibly because only a very small percentage of mainstream models were ever sold here with auto boxes. That was normally the realm of upmarket, luxury saloons over here.
I remember a disabled neighbour of ours way back in the early 70s had to wait quite a while for the factory to build her a special order Mini auto. Performance wise it must have been a slug to drive, although that probably wasn't a problem for her.

Anyone tell me the font used on the automatic boot badge please? Eurostile Bold. Edit, beaten to it by DarrenW! I'll add that it looks like 'normal' Eurostile Bold, as opposed to the much more common Eurostile Bold Extended. Could also be Microgramma. They're very similar.

Well, I now have the badge. Is the chap doing the 3D printing still with us? I've left a couple of messages for him, but had no response.

Contacted and had a reply back from the chap on Ebay. The advertised ones are the largest he does. Anyone heard from the chap advertising 3 D printing on here?
