With the gearbox now reinstated in my Cortina, it was time to take in a small show/meet/gathering.
We met at Burry Port harbour. Myself, my younger brother(Chevette), older brother (Gilbern Invader), nephew (Astra), mate (VivaHB) and his brother (Firenza).
So we left in convoy and travelled to Cwm Gors via Betws mountain.
If you’ve ever fancied doing the Manx rally but don’t want the expense, then this is the road for you. Simply stunning. As Jones Junior (the younger) said as we came over the top and saw the stunning view, “This is Wales”. He’s only 10. We arrived at the meet. Most of the cars were American, so I don’t know much about them, but I took some photos all the same.
There was a guy there taking photos of the American cars with some Ladies. He asked could he take some photos of our my car so I said no problem, then he added one of the Ladies too.
We drove home over the Black Mountains where car SOS do a lot of filming which was a pleasant drive and all was done and dusted by 13:00.
