Apparently, this is a rare model due to the year of the car and the floor shift instead of the column change? His other model (one that works, ) has the overdrive box, 1952/54?

I wonder if anyone knows of any car in same or worse condition than this get a complete restoration?
I bet someone would if it was a Jowett!

Apparently, the engine is worth a few hundred, and the grille (once straightened out) is quite valuable too, show us yours!

What makes me laugh is that you can still tell what it is, and it’s obviously pulled out in one piece. A few years ago i gained a pair of mk4 cortinas and one of those ended up in a 6x 4 trailer! Says something about build quality and gauges of steel How old is that? Can you imagine, say, a 2004 focus in 70ish years time sat in a bush?😳

My first car was a MkIII. Heavy chassis and bumpers like chrome-plated RSJs. A chap in a Ford 100E wiped out his front end running into the back of me in traffic in Newcastle in 1971. Broke one of my rear light lenses. That was a pain to find a replacement for - very similar to those fitted to the Temptress and getting rare even then. Sadly mine didn't have the highly desirable floor change conversion. Stirling and his sister Pat along with Shiela van Damm rallied them with success in the early '50s. www.maronline.org.uk/who-do-you-think-you-are-stirling-moss/

One of the youtubers I follow uncovered a load of these Sunbeam Talbots in one location, with loads of other classics, all belonging to the same guys, I wonder if it is one and the same. Pretty cars and seem to have lasted the test and ravages of time better than many of a similar era.

I wonder if anyone knows of any car in same or worse condition than this get a complete restoration? I guess it depends on how bad it is apart from what we can see. My Sportshatch project was pretty far gone when I bought it - floors missing, chassis rails gone, inner wings, bulkhead, easier to list the panels that didn't need work.

If the chassis is still solid, that could be something. The Alpine version of these look amazing as a roadster.

What's the chassis like? If all else fails could be rebodied as a Hotrod. The wheelbase is 112", same as a '34 Ford.
