1993 Reliant Robin LX. 58,000 miles. MoT until January 2022.
Lots of work done in the last 6 months. New headgasket, flushed block for both oil and coolant, and fresh fluids including gearbox and diff. New battery. New plugs, leads, cap, rotor arm, ignition coil and electronic ignition. New front brake shoes. New fuel lines and fuel filter. Full new exhaust.
Engine now runs well although it does burn a little oil. Gearbox is great with loads of life in the clutch. Diff is quiet which is unusual for a Reliant! Steering and brakes are good (as can be for tiny drums!). Handbrake is currently non-functional, I've had a look underneath and it's a bent bracket, if I get time I'm sure I can sort it.
Interior is worn and was clearly owned by a decorator at some point as there's some splodges of paint in various places. Dashboard is cracked, which is pretty normal unfortunately, but everything is there and works. Fitted with a rev counter, bluetooth radio and shag pile floor mats (luxury!).
It's clearly been resprayed by someone with no eyes and no shame. The roof and boot have peel but the rest is ok.
Recently completed a 300 mile drive round the Peak District with no issues. Overall a cheap useable Reliant Robin that could be used as is or the basis for a rolling project.
