Hi people thought I'd start a thread on the progress of my dolomite. I've owned it for 4 or 5 years now been working on it on and off but its not far off from being back on the road now.
Sorry not all the pictures will be in order and I have a hell of alot of the pictures I've taken missing now.
A brief run down of whats happened so far.
Its been fully welded all rust treated and resprayed in russet brown the original colour also my favorite.
Everything underneath suspension subframe axles arms have all been powder coated fully polybushed and all new nuts and bolts.
I had the gearbox rebuilt when I first got it as it had a bad lay shaft.
Countless other things have been done but I could go on for ever.

That's a tidy collection, I think Russet brown is the best colour for a Dolly!

Man that Dolly looks good! Seriously underrated in my view and yes, Russet is the best colour for sure. Are you going to reinstate the pinstripe?

Now there's two lovely brown dolomites on the site! This photo takes me right back to 2000 when I loved cruising around in my first car - An Inca yellow Dolomite 1500HL with a flat eric on the parcel shelf and Mr Oizo on the stereo ... Sadly I gave my dolomite away and the flat eric was in my Mrs Minty's mk3 fiesta at the time it got stolen and was never seen again. (I was more sad about the loss of eric)

No thread on mine unfortunately - I had it before I had internet access - just memories, and a handful of 35mm film photos and a few issues of the dolomite club magazine left to show for my dolomite ownership.

They just look right on any Triumph for me. Looks like you’ve done some great work there. Keep the updates coming. I like a bit of Russet myself ........ Edit; Re the stripes, did you try the Dolomite club ones? I found them to be spot on.
