Just had a look outside this evening to check on the weather and I saw something on the Saab On 1st November I'd found someone had put a lump of filler on the bonnet. A couple of days earlier there was a lot of cat turds This evening they've poured paint stripper on the bonnet - fortunately it's been raining and so it's only damaged an area about 6 in x 12 in but they'd tried to cover the whole bonnet. Why do they do this? It looks like I'm being targetted by someone - not sure who yet. I'll probably get a camera rigged up just to check since this is going too far. We heard a noise about 6.30-7pm so I'm going to keep checking. As it's the 3rd time something's happened I'll also be reporting it to the police. I didn't need to stand out in the rain at 11pm washing paint stripper off.

I guess a lot of them do it because they know they will get away with it Thanks - I've just rigged up a webcam with motion sensor now to point at the front of the Saab. Hopefully they'll be in shot and I'll find out who it is. I've got three ideas who; 1. A couple of teenagers on the street (probably not) 2. A pair of teenagers in the Housing Association house opposite who I've clashed with before since they like to party loud at 2am when their mum's away. I've also reported him to the police for riding a motorbike on the pavement at high speed during the day - without helmet, insurance or licence. I guess they don't like me 3. A group of 5-10 year olds again from the Housing Association who I've stopped causing damage to various people's cars, houses and other things. One of them put scratches on mine but I can't prove it. The time would also point to these.

I feel for you mate, had a few problems with teenagers being little cnuts round here, mirrors ripped off, scratches etc. My next door neighbour set up a camera and it clearly caught a certain yoof, breaking his mirror. The cops said there was no way they could take it as evidence. WHAT? So the lads phonenumber was found and his parents and him spoken too, politely and within the law like, once he knew he had been seen its amazing how him and his mates never came down our street again.

Some cnut snapped the ariel off my VW Camper and then used it to scratch someone elses car! They would probably have don't the camper but it's got two layers of brush applied paint on it so they probably thought it pointless!

Good look with the camera. I've got one on my drive that videoed to kids ripping off two of the hubcaps off my old E30 and throw them in the neighbours garden. Unfortunately it was dark and the security light didn't light them enough and they wore hoodies so I've no idea who it was.

unlucky, hate people like this.
we had a few problems with local brats a while back, we all knew who it was but couldnt prove it, the police are useless, one car got written off, all windows and sunroof smashed and body bashed in all over, my mums car was quite heavily targeted, even had ignition leads stolen once aswell as standing on the roof and bonnet and smashing windows. they went too far once and smahsed the living room window, it stopped after that, shouldv kicked their heads in but they wer like 14 and i was goin on 17.
good luck with catching them, ust don't try to harm them because they are the kind of people who will strike back AND sue, mothers are sually the 'my son is an angel' type, whilst injecting drugs in their arms and getting beat up by lose fathers

+1 ;D I wish I could live in a big old barn conversion somewhere in the middle of nowhere, with loads of outbuildings for tat storage and playing. I hate being surrounded by scummy kids and students who think its funny to set fireworks off at random hours on a weeknight. Feel for you dclane, had my share of problems round here.

The police came - and phoned within 10 minutes of me reporting it. Something's up locally methinks. Webcam's up too - with motion sensor. I've been given a heads-up about who probably did it. Unfortunately the kid's about 8 (same nasty piece of work who scratched it with a druggie dad who can't care less) so there's not much I can do. Unless ....

Be careful with those cameras. Under privacy laws, you could end up with an ASBO (seriously!). That's the problems with this country. It's OK for the powers that be to put cameras everywhere to monitor your every move, but If you want to guard your own property.............

When I told them I'd done it he said it was OK and they they liked CCTV footage. He checked where mine was (inside pointing out at the drive towards the car) and was happy with it.

you should find out where it lives, knock on the door, when its parents answer throw a litre of unleaded over them and wave a lit zippo about. down side is you'd get raped by the law. I feel your anger, I had numerous light lenses snapped off my camper, a few cars egg'd and 2 badges snapped of my benz's. all done by scum who, because of being underage, couldnt get a beating.

Doesnt matter how old they are. If you can prove who did it and they're underage take their parents to the small claims court to get compensation.
Bunch of wanqers. I really hope you get satisfaction over this mate. Maybe you can catch one of them and brand the word curse word into their forehead with a red hot branding iron or something.

I completely understand. Having the same problem with my car. Every few days there is a few more random gouges in the paintwork. I'm just thinking who it could be and how long they will last, unfortunaly I'm closer to their age gap and I'm the opposit sex. Anyone else get an idea? lol
