So this is the first time I’ve ever re purchased a car. I bought this in 2017 as a 1.6 auto, and converted to a 1.8 turbo manual.... then promptly sold it. Just got it back yesterday... happy bunny.

Well I also love a bit of beige lol. Although I put it in the garage almost 2yes ago. Not looked at it since. Not even sure it’s still there. Me bad. I really should check I guess.

Making a few changes again Fitted a shallow sump, and also purchased another set of wheels. I went with bc coilovers as I love them, with still static adjustable top mounts. And I found some Renault apline gta wheels which are a staggered 6.5 8.5 setup.

Ooooh Type 19 it's a lovely car and incidentally the only car I ever regret selling was a type 19 GTI 8V.
I love the Renault turbines on it

Typ19 is scene pish talk. Every mk2 Golf is a typ19. 191 for LHD, 192 for RHD. Well technically yes all built on the type 19 platform. But if were to be pedantic. Pre 88 cars have the -19- in the vin number, then they switched to -1G- post 88. I think that’s the main reason people use that terminology to differentiate between the 2. I just say early mk2.

Finally got the bc coilovers on, the gearbox was hitting the floor on the drive home so I raised it 10mm at the front and 10mm down at the back. Sitting pretty now.
