Citroen XM VSX 2.5 TD
MOT 22nd April 2021
5 speed manual
Just taken delivery of this to do bits to and sell when done. Realistically, it’ll be a good few weeks until I can start the work, so it’s here until I do, for a cheap price and a little project for someone.
Rare cars these days. Converted 135,000 miles with 5 owners. The engine is sweet as a nut, as it the gearbox, clutch, brakes and suspension. All works exactly as it should. It’s solid underneath, and wouldn’t take much to get it through its next MOT next month.
The interior is stunning! So comfortable, as most people know.
What does it need? Glow plugs, or the relay. Both cheap and easy jobs. It’s a pig to start when cold, but then fires up first turn for the rest of the day. Drivers window switch is faulty, so will need looking at. One of the headlights has condensation on the inside. The chrome trim is tarnished, it has a dent on the rear quarter and a couple of rust scabs on the roof. And a god awful tow bar!!
Other than the above, it’ll generally just need a tidy up, with some odd bits of trim missing and it’ll be a very presentable and useable car.
I’ll drive about in it a bit for a week or so, then look at doing the work myself before selling in the summer. Feel free to view, drive, kick tyres and slag off French cars. I don’t mind. I can even offer a beer while we do it. Seriously though, any insurrection welcome. It’s a quirky car with bags of power for not much money.
Message on here, or for a quicker response text or call me on zero seven four 84 837 two 9 eight.
I’ll be back with the cat Saturday morning, so can take more/better pictures then.
