I need to go to Goodwood to have a meeting at some point, so I'll likely take the back road route through Petersfield and across the South Downs, rather than the M3/A27 Route... At least I'll take that route there, and probably blast back up the A roads.
Other than that it is up the 303 and M3 to see my parents for the first time in nearly a year.

Nowhere, in a car, it’ll be chaos 🙈 Or, we could take this thread opportunity to be positive and share our favourite driving routes we have all been missing. Maybe try again. 👍🏻 Christ, he was joking, just having a bit of fun. Lets not have a sense of humour bypass, eh! Me? I shall just jump into the Pontiac and drive for an hour or three, taking in the North Norfolk coast, drive through some villages and, generally, feel like I am finally free. Having said that, I still use her for doing normal stuff, like shopping.

Completely understand the situation with the roads is going to likely be chaos. No one said that you had to go for a drive the second lockdown restrictions lifted though. Anyway, I’m derailing now. Lovely Pontiac. I don’t think I could not drive something like that as a daily. Would absolutely want to drive it everywhere. I need to get my Jeep out of the workshop really.

The fuel in my tank is over a year old. Does that matter?

The Wife and Girlfriend tell me that we're gonna load up the wagon, and head to the south coast of Wales for a week of R&R with the kids. Personally I can't wait to be able to sit on the beach in the evening with a small fire burning while stuffing my face with barbeque as I listen to the waves lapping at the shore. You’ve got a wife & a girlfriend ? Are you mad 😀😉 I enjoy the challenge, the trick is to make sure they're friends first. Although that being said, there are the odd occasions when they kinda gang up on me, so perhaps the trick is that they never meet? Hmm, might have to give it a bit more thought.

My eldest and his wife recently bought their first house. Keen to go for a road trip and check it out. It's 1400 odd km here to there including a three hour ferry ride so might require an overnight stop en route. Or not, depends on who's with me in the car. Might have to combine it with my dad's 80th birthday gathering which adds 700 km then another 1700 km to get back home from there so the trip becomes nearly 4000 km all up.

Updated reply now I have a specific destination. Caffeine & Machine have started selling their Wednesday evening tickets again so I've booked in for the FWD night on Wednesday 14th April so I'll be heading down there in the cactus.

Its been that long since I went to a car meet I didn't even think to look at any... thats Plan B. Bot thin on the ground up here though, when a few enthusiasts get together up here its immediately overrun with youngsters in financed Audis constantly revving for the over run bangs. And weirdly kids wheelieing around on bikes, thats a new one lately. I sound really old now I'm only 30

I've been doing the same amount of driving as ever, there's no difference between lockdown or not for me, ergo no need for a special drive to celebrate an arbitrary inconsequential date. But there is one thing I haven't been able to do, so that is high on the to-do list, which is to see my mum, sister and friends in the Scottish Highlands, and enjoy the scenery and roads while up there. My mum lives along the NC500 route and it's always terribly busy so like ToolsnTrack I stick to the lesser known routes, and there are a few passes I haven't driven for far too long. I want to figure out how to do it with a motorbike as well - either means riding all the way there (sore and cold) or taking the bike in a van (boring and expensive). Or buy another bike on the mainland and take that, but that poses another set of problems. Ah well, I will dream about coming down into Lairg in 3rd on a red Ducati for a while longer...

The fuel in my tank is over a year old. Does that matter? Did a very tentative 5 min trip around the estate with year old fuel. Probably only got a litre or two in the tank so will pop down and get a fresh tank of 4 star.

We had a full lockdown here in New Zealand last year. My Falcon sat with an almost full tank of petrol for two months. Even after that short time it ran like a bag of ring holes when I was finally required to go back to the office.

Here in the US I’ve never really been shut down. Been driving 3000 miles a month at least in my pickup and hitting all over the place. Driving that much for work makes spirited drives not quite as much fund but I took the e36 Vert out for 25 miles today and enjoyed some twisties.
