Despite reviewing the relevant section of the MOT manual ( www.gov.uk/guidance/mot-inspection-manual-for-private-passenger-and-light-commercial-vehicles/6-body-structure-and-attachments#section-6-1-7 ), I'm unclear if running an AWD car without the propshaft - ie FWD - is an MOT fail?
Anyone got experience of this. There are, or were, loads of Volvo 850R/V70R AWD cars that had troublesome props removed and running as standard 2WD cars but it's been suggested to me that this is now a no-no.
Sincerely hope not as the chances of reuniting my project AWD with its prop are slim to zero.
