Don't use too much water, the chassis will dissolve. Ha ha this one seems a good old bus tbh I can’t shake this cleaning thing it just gives me huge satisfaction I couldn’t do it for a living I think it would ruin it for me But after a hard weeks work this is like therapy The camper looked absolutely fantastic when it was finished and our neighbours were chuffed , it’s there baby but they were unable to stay on top of keeping it clean

Had the pleasure of valeting the two Aston’s and the mk1 escort yesterday. Thought people may appreciate the nicer Aston of the two.

Had my pals cossie rep over tonight for a quick detail He’s off to players at goodwood tomorrow Luckily I was given the keys and went off for a quick spin tonight……Jesus Christ this thing is quick and I mean very quick , my pal has just spent a good few quid in more engine upgrades, quite frankly I came home very light headed after a dual carriageway blast …..all within the speed limit of course officer 😁

How have I only just found this thread. Right up my street although I am very much an amateur when it comes to detailing. What plastic/trim treatment did you use on the T4 Roach ?

On that particular vehicle I used autoglym rubber and plastic reviver. However if I was to recommend one, I’d use gtechniq c4. Only reason I didn’t use it on the t4, was to keep costs down, it’s pricey and I’d have needed a lot of it. 😂

Thanks. I've recently been using Meguiars Ultimate Black and was generally impressed by it. Not much prodcut needed, ease of application and it's cost at around £15 for 355ml. Whilst writing could you recommend a tyre treatment please? I've always come back to Armourall Tyre Foam for it's ease of application, low cost and most importantly the natural finish it leaves as I hate glossy/sticky tyre treatments.

I’ve been using megs tyre gel for the last decade… goes on gloss, but you can buff it back to a natural finish, and so long as you apply it to a squeaky clean and dry tyre, it lasts ages.

Enjoyable thread. Just a comment to recommend Gyeon Q2M Wet Coat: gyeonquartz.uk/product/wetcoat/I bought a bottle about a year ago and I've done my car with it three times now, with enough left in the bottle for maybe another application. Dead easy to use, and it seems to last quite well. Was reminded to post because it's raining heavily here for the first time since I last applied any to my daily E90 325i and I can see some spectacular beading!

I have an intentional break from customer cars in my shed, so I’m finally tackling one of my own cars. 1990 oak green mk2 golf. Responding nicely with an 80mm forced rotation machine, medium pads with a medium compound, one step, 4-5 passes.

Mmmmm Oak Green, my favourite golf colour. Looking sharp on those Sebring's. Are they OEM or a larger diameter replica?

The Mondeo got a bit of treatment last Saturday I recently bought an autofinesse polisher so I gave the Ford a good polish off

What DA polisher would you (open question) recommend? More specifically for someone with zero experience of machine polishing

What DA polisher would you (open question) recommend? More specifically for someone with zero experience of machine polishing Depends what you want it for? A DA won’t remove serious defects etc, perfect for polishing tho. I valet and detail for a living and don’t have a DA in my arsenal at all. I’d go for a forced rotation that’s directly driven so it won’t stall out and also has the grunt to cut as well as polish. The flex range is what I use.

Hi Roach, would you be so kind as to give another product recommendation? I used up the last of my Dodo Juice Future Armour at the weekend on the new car. Really love it's ease of use and durability just wondering if there is anything else in the same price bracket that you'd recommend? My collection is currently mostly EZ Car Care products and I was thinking of trying Gloss Boss? In short I'm after a Hybrid LSP to go with my SI02 Ceramic Wax?

I poured 4.5 litres of gloss boss down the drain as I hated it.
The every day product I use is from Autosmart and it’s called cobalt. It’s a very nice product to use as an lsp.
My tip top one for my coated and higher end vehicles I use gtechniq c2v3 liquid Crystal.
Just to add I’ve never heard of the dodo juice one so unsure of the costing etc.
