	Since fitting the ME221 ECU to the Herald after the MX5 transplant I've been tempted by a digital dash. I currently use the MX5 clocks but it's a hash to make fit and looks awful. Depth is the main issue as the steering column has a support close there. I've looked at tablets and using Raspberry PI, it's not like I'm 17 and killing time online researching stuff whilst some mp3's download on Napster these days and so there's just too much scope out there now! Has anyone had a play with this in the past? I'm think Raspberry PI and maybe Realdash is a good idea? Using ME221 also seems to reduce options.

	Have you got an OBDII port? You could hook up a cheap android tablet and use Torque Pro for all the gauges you'd need.

	The only expense with using a Raspberry Pi is sorting out and ignition switched logic box so it powers up and closes down safely without corrupting itself Otherwise, sounds like a good idea! And you could get a GPS hat for the Pi too, and have maps on the dash surely

Nah, it uses a serial cable to connect to the laptop. You can connect a Bluetooth dongle to it but I've never got it to work. I might trade in the 221 for a 442 as they're offering a 50% discount on trade in. I might fire them an email to see what they recommend. £400 for something I really don't need or will improve my life in any way? I hate having to conduct research these days. I'm not sure if I'm getting dumber or lazier! 😂
