Looks a good size - personally I hate flat roofs - Any chance you can put a pitched roof on it (added benefit of some additional storage if you use decent spec roof trusses
Booked and marked for the journey
Yeah that was always going to be the plan long term. But money and time wise at the moment means i just need to get this roof sorted and cars moved in. I seem to have lost most of my bank balance buying the place!
I think I'm going to struggle clearing out all the places i have things stored and finding room for it here as is. But i have 3 bedrooms a loft and only 1 person living there...
If and when you replace the roof trusses, I would suggest going along the factory made, 'room in the roof' trusses. They will be engineered to do exactly what is says on the tin, making sure that you can actually load out that space as opposed to taking risks, etc... Will be more expensive, but in my opinion worth it. Good luck.
Of course the danger here is, once the cars are gear are in and the roof made good, you will nbever go back and change the roof out to a pitch. The best bang for buck if a pitch is your desire would be to do it now and save on the cost of replacing the felt covering. I do understand moving into a new house your money will be tied up. Maybe patch up the old roof with felt and tar for now and re roof in the summer.
Thats a great amount of space for something in the South East! Nothing like that ever comes up in this corner of the South East for reasonable money (granted I'm the wrong side of the M25 to start with so that never helps lol)
