Quick Question for someone who would know. I'm fairly well-versed in aircooled VW's now, but this is a question I can't answer either way for certain, but I'm sure someone can, particularly if they were around when these were new.
On an T2 Bay, UK model, first registered in November 1970, what shape would the rear numberplate have been originally?
Obviously, almost all of these now won't be totally original or untouched and I've seen loads of them fitted with both rectangular and square plates fitted. Also, both shapes seems to look equally at home in the aperture on the engine lid. Neither fit snug, but neither look out of place, but I'd rather get the originality right on this one.
