Tentative sale post, before I do the bits it needs and MOT it. The price is firm I’m afraid.
Rare car, with the correct Zender bodykit. 4 previous owners, the forth owner from 2003 - 2019. 61600 miles.
Loads of paperwork, with service book, full bookpack, service receipts and photos of its time as a showcar. Fitted with a rebuilt 1712cc engine in 2005, and new twin Weber 40’s a few years later. It’s done very few miles since, as it was only brought out for shows, as the MOT history shows. It starts, drives and sounds superb!
It’s MOT ran out in November this year, but look at how clean the MOT history is online, and you’ll see it shouldn’t have an issue passing. It needs one 2 inch patch to the rear of the floor for an MOT, but also needs some fabrication work to the back panel, inside the tailgate where the seal sits. Other than this, it’s 100% solid throughout.
It has a few car park dents over the car, and a dent man could get 99% of these out perfectly. Other than that, it’s got a couple of patches if surface rust to the tailgate that would need treating and painting to make mint.
I also have 5 original alloys to go with the car.
So, it’s a project, but a very doable one. Very few of these cars remain. If it doesn’t sell for the asking price, I’ll do the work needed, keep it for the summer for a bit of fun and send it to Mathewson’s auctions in the Autumn.
I can get loads more photos of the underside, interior etc, and happy to take videos of the car including with The engine running.
