It's the Bilt Hamber stuff. Epoxy Mastic I think they call it. No particular affiliation, other than I like their Hydrate 80 and it saved on postage to get both.

Hydrate 80 seems to be rubbish, all areas i treated with it are now rusty a year later. could be operator error though

Yeah I don't buy that it's a rust converter. I don't think any acid-rich paint will do a great deal, considering that it takes at minimum a day (and at most a week and a half) of soaking in citric acid for a rusty part to come out as fresh metal. There's just not enough acid in the paint to convert that much rust. What it is useful for is converting the light flash rust I've had difficulty preventing when parts are dipped in acid. I've tried neutralising them then popping on some phosphoric acid, but I still get flash rust. Hit that with a wire brush and pop some acid rich primer on and it should be good  Not yet had a long term test of that so far, but will check back in when I do. |

Nothing like a nice bit of chassis and suspension strengthening to warm the soul on a Wednesday morning.
Also - i have had all sorts of problems with drips and edge thin-ness using the Frosts Extreme Chassis black primer and paint. It's all too thin for its own good.

I've spotted the thumbnail but hadn't watched the video yet! The Rover 2600 world is a very small one it seems  I'm dead jealous the chappy's managed to snag the tubular manifolds, though I suppose if I make a set they'll need to be shaped differently for clearance. Glad to see someone else having a stab at getting the engine to meet its potential. I've offered what research I've done so far, and inquired about the source of his camshaft... |

Camshaft options would probably limited to regrinds, which, in all honesty probably aims you to the door of NEWMAN CAMS, www.newman-cams.com |

I expect you're right, I've never seen a blank for sale anywhere. Between the number of junk engines I have and the NoS cam from Rimmers I should be well stocked for regrindable cams. Good to know that Newman are the folks to speak to. If you can take 1mm off the base circle diameter the resulting profile isn't entirely dissimilar to a Schrick 288 for an M20. Not a clue if the valvetrain will cope with that, but that's why I've amassed some spares |
