It is becoming the unlikely โkeeperโ in your collection.In reality, this was always intended to be a "keeper" for my son, not for me. That seems to be taking root, although I'm understanding that he doesn't (yet?) have the same fascination with the way things work that I do. That's ok, and if he grows into being a "car guy" at some point that's great - if not, at least he has some idea of the amount of work I was willing to put into this for him. And he is excited to get it back to "daily" status - if the weather cooperates he'll be able to take it to school next week.
We did find the paint color - we think so anyway.
It still feels a little wrong to put this much effort in then hit it with a spray bomb, but we can always come back and spray it properly (or have it done professionally) if he wants (and budget permits) at some later date.
