Nothing much has happened with this yet, the restaurant has once again taken over everything!! We're currently providing weekly burger kits, which I'm delivering myself locally on a Friday, and over the last week or two I've been working on making it a nation-wide endeavour. This hasn't been easy, and is taking up a lot of time and headspace. In addition I was diagnosed in December with ADHD. One side effect of ADHD is apparently not realising how big projects are, and not properly being able to visualise how long they may take. In my moments of clarity when taking my medication I can definitely see what they mean!! You’re not bleecker burger are you? A similar concept has been popping up on my Instagram feed with mouthwatering burger photos in recent weeks. I’ve been wondering during lockdowns whether I suffer from ADHD as I have great difficulty not getting distracted with menial irrelevant tasks instead of sticking to what i should actually be doing. I wasn’t aware it could be diagnosed as an adult and even less that there are drugs available to combat its impact. Good luck. I think you’ll need it if you do wish to persue the van but I think personally I’d cut my losses now.

For brakes have a look around for what else that is more common that uses a similar wheel pcd, you may well then be able to use the complete drum and backplate on your existing axle (may need spacers between plate and axle or the holes re-drilling but all dooable) If you can get something like a Landrover to fit the parts are dirt cheap. (no handbrake though)

The lady who used to give me physio suffered from ADHD, she used it to her advantage to try and get about twice as much done as everybody else every day.

Sorry, not van related, well maybe it is as it’s burger related.
Anyway, Bleeker Street burgers. The best burger ever to grace my lips. Once you’ve had one there’s no going back, they are in a league of their own. The mince is so finely ground that they melt in your mouth - double burger with bacon and cheese and sweet potato fries on the side.
Genuinely the only thing I really miss about being in the office is the proximity to Bleeker Street.
Best of luck with the van, there’s no wrong thing to do but if it’s a business venture then it’s a big bucket of money and time which could be invested in your core product.

Bleecker are the people who beat us to the main prize last year at the National Burger Awards. They won the Burger of the Year prize, and we won the Burger Chef of the year. Apparently there wasn't a lot in it at all, which is great to know because like you we're massive fans of theirs! The reason we (my brother and myself) do the restaurant is because we love burgers, so obviously we eat them wherever we go! We're Big Boys Fine Burger Co. down in Folkestone, Kent.

It makes sense, as it's the only way we can safely make money at the moment! With regards to the ADHD, apparently its quite common in adults, and many people go undiagnosed as children. It goes away before adulthood for a lot of people which is one reason it doesn't get much attention. The only reason I looked into it was recurring depression and anxiety which my sister suggested might have a larger underlying cause. She works in a school dealing with kids with ADHD every day, so saw a lot of the same things in me. I'm currently trying to build a solid routine to work to and slowly making the changes recommended to my diet/life in general to manage it better.

Thanks for all the replies! I'm going to look into them all!
I think a good option is to look into a chassis swap. I'm doing so much work to the body as it is that there's not a huge loss in moving it over. In many ways it would make the job a bit easier!
We'll see!

Ooooh. This looks fantastic. A little braver than I was, does seem like a fair amount of work. Chassis swap - the union city stuff all lives on Chevy platforms, doesn’t look too massive so maybe look at something on a blazer/C20 chassis? Get a fairly modern one with a V8

How's it going with the van? I have a Walk Thru - similar condition in many ways with the body, though it does have an engine/drives/etc - been sat for nearly a decade and now finally starting to get it back on the road... There's an online forum for these at www.commervanfan.co.uk
