Long term project vehicle has been off road since 1992, prior to SORN. I have moved house, and found out you can change address online if you have the log book , and is not lost. I do have the log book, but it is the very old style (light blue)
Has anyone done this, and if so, has it brought up any issues? Last thing I need is DVLA keeping my log book, especially when the car is nowhere near finished !
Cheers

I tried to change the address on my logbook by sending it off about 3 years ago (pre the online option) car off road since 1995. No surprise computer said no. When car is back together I have to send in a long list of photographs that DVLA have requested. To be fair the department that I've dealt with have been very helpful. Hopefully I should find out around Easter time what the outcome is. You could email and ask: cio.vehicles@dvla.gov.uk

Cheers I'd share your concerns on sending off the old log book especially with the backlog DVLA have on postal applications (as opposed to the on-line processes) What I'd do for piece of mind is apply for a replacement £25 and Form V62 (log book lost) You'll need the previous address postcode

Cripes, sounds like an entry for a concours car. I've recently purchased a car with the old style 90s log book and it's been sent back to me with notification that a new log book will follow.
