I've always had a thing for running on other than petrol or diesel, currently all our families vehicles are on LPG (Propane)
However supply is controlled by a couple of companies and there are always problems being able to fill up in the winter as they don't bother supplying forecourts.
I remember you could buy a factory CNG van in the States and wondered if anybody has any experience of them? Basically home refueling overnight is possible with CNG from your home has supply, for LPG you need a bulk tank and I don't have the space.
I know at one point NZ invested heavily in a secure fuel supply to make them independent from imported oil and had about 1/3rd of their entire vehicle fleet running on CNG but that was very old tech and suffered significant power losses.
TLDR: I'm fancying a new yank work van should I bother trying to source one with CNG fitted?
