I had one of these back in the early 90s and was an absolute belter of a car, 147 horses straight out of the box and great fun to boot! I do like slightly left field stuff!
I now have an itch to scratch and can I find one....no! Unless its been restored which means its a trailer queen and mega money!
Does anyone know of or has seen one possibly available? Preferably a Mk1 not the face lifted Mk2 which requires some work, but is solid.
Anyone?

I had a 94 1.4 as a first car in 2007, and they were thin on the ground then, 16v more so. Not seen a Tipo in the wild for a good 5 years now.

We had a burgundy ‘94 1.4 ie, drove it to the north of Scotland and back for the millennium and it didn’t miss a beat, brilliant car. There’s a DGT for sale in Northern Ireland if you look on Car & Classic aveugotadonk

Mine was a cracking car to be fair, I just liked the Ax i bought to use while the Tipo had a clutch more so I sold it. Guy I sold it to gave it me back a year or so later after using it as a builders van, interior was shagged, gearbox was crunchy and the pristine bodywork was a mess. I kept it for 6 months trying to find parts, then weighed it in when I didn't find a single breaker or one in the scrappy. Shame really it was a really good car.

I had a sediciovalvole in black as a company car in the early 90's, it used to drink a bit of oil from new, but that was ok - it was a real hoot. I then got promoted and got a 405 MI16, and handed the Tipo to a guy who then worked for me - he blew the engine up within 6 weeks due to no oil :-(
I have looked to scratch the itch on both the Tipo Sediciovalvole and the MI16 front for nearly 10 years now,and both are real unicorns !

I went away with a friends family when I was a kid, 9 / 10 years old and a friend of the family had a Tipo, I ended up as a back seat passenger when we all went somewhere and it felt so damn quick, guy drove it like a lunatic and 10 year old me had the biggest smile on my face.

I had a 1.8 i.e. 16v back in the 90's. It went well and had zero rust (a first for me with Fiat's, they usually dissolved in a light mist). But the electrics!!!! The digital dash had a habit of gradually reducing indicated speed down to zero, usually on a motorway. Stopping would reset it. In the rain the windows would become totally random, press a button and guess which window would operate and in which direction. Wipers would change speed because. Also random interior bits would detach themselves. I do recall that changing the water pump required two wrists in each arm and x-ray vision. But no rust...

Seen those earlier thanks! Nice pair but probably not rough enough! I had a 1.4 DGT on a G plate same colour as the one in the c&c ad, as mentioned no rust but electrics were hilarious at times, total dash loss on the M3 once near Winchester but bizarrely the car kept going as if nothing had happened!

Sounds like a loose earth connection, as long as then engine earth strap is fine it would just carry on going without a problem.

Owned an L reg 1.4 a few years ago. Neighbours car as we needed a bigger boot for young children.
Blew it's head gasket twice. Was not a nice drive. Also, the electrics weren't great.
Sold it and bought a new Yaris, as I couldn't afford the children being stranded on the motorway.
Would not recommend
