As per the title, I’m looking for a single phase spot welder. I refuse to pay unrealistic eBay prices. Hoping that there’s one out there for reasonable coin.
Based in South Wales but get across to Norwich via M4/M25 or M5/M6/A14 quite regularly.

I refuse to pay unrealistic eBay prices. Good luck finding one then, they're expensive for a reason...

I purchased one a while back for a lot less than they cost now and sold it for similar money. Nothing has changed other than the companies are charging stupid amounts for them. I sure my CSW6T was less than £400 new. They’re nearer £600 now. What’s changed?

Been offered a Vevor one on eBay that looks like an exact Chinese copy of the MM Clarke CSW13T for just over £300. Not sure they are any good or if it will burst into flames at the first use?

I assumed you were looking for a used one. No idea why new prices would have risen.

I assumed you were looking for a used one. No idea why new prices would have risen. I would happily buy used but can’t understand why I should pay almost as much for a transformer and a few copper bars as my Portamig 185 was when new 7 years ago! They are seriously overpriced and unless working on old stuff regularly they aren’t much use really. Once my mini is done t it’ll probably be banished to the dark damp corners of my garage.

Think I’ve just purchased one. No longer required.
