TD04HL 15G from a later 850R or V70 maybe. its a Volvo turbo. slightly bigger flows a little better.
should still be insta boost.
Certainly fun to start with then- as above, I had that turbo until a week or so ago and made 186 at the wheels. Not really much point swapping to a 16t unless you have one to hand, as the 15g and the 16t are very similar in size. Perhaps get it running and driving, then swap to a 19t when the need for more power hits? And definitely insta-boost with a 15g, they’re pretty small and spool very quickly.
one of my dilemmas fluff ups was the power steering / manual rack.
I discovered the rack was from a Sierra so I bought a manual rack. well the manual rack was not exactly the same. and would have needed a adaptor made up, and then...... it would have been a worse ratio.
a power steering rack offers a quicker ratio,
so I decided to keep the manual rack and just loop the two sides and block the rest off.
I haven't made the loop pipe yet. everything else's is clean and new.
