Good news. Look forward to when the steel man gets his a into g now!! BOOOOMMM !!Just had a missed call and message from him while booking Galaxy in for MOT next Tuesday. He plans to be here tomorrow morning 08.30 if all goes well. Guess the text I sent him, struck the right nerve. Thing is, I like him and having been in his factory, what I saw there, made me happy he is doing the job. Of course with all the time wasted the last 11 weeks, my day job has escalated and the next couple of weeks are filled with meetings, reports and tests. Not ideal, but it will happen, though not as fast as it could have before.

Not sure if this should be on here, or in the Galaxy thread. As it kinda fits both. But as the Rezin Rockit will be under the roof once it is up, I guess here is fine. Steel guy said he will be here up to about 8.30 lets see when he gets here. He is coming with a Sprinter pickup, so needs to reverse down the drive and get the steels down to site. I needed to remove the caravans, trailer, scooter, mixer and other bits, up to the lawn, which is very wet and soggy. Once cleared, I decided to make a “Selfie stick” and at 5 meters long, it got the job kinda done, but of course a drone would be better equipped to do the job. Looking toward Mickeys place. Front right post is offset to the right, left ones are both attached as you will remember to the garage wall. Looking over the hedge from 6 meters up, from Mickeys side. Hedge directly below. .

Question is....... Do you guys want this process up on here or rather on the Galaxy thread? Personally I'd say start a new thread here - forum.retro-rides.org/board/29/garage-life - for your car port build and general workshop / home craft type projects and then your specific car stuff in their own threads. But they're your threads, it just might help to avoid you posting stuff twice if general workshop posts have their own place

Guys at my house by 7.45 and on site from 7.50 Been a long time coming. So the truck was a bit wider than he thought..... poop. So carrying all the shorter beams down, followed by using the cart Fil “Sparkplug” brought over to run one down, but it was almost the same width as the concrete strips, followed by using a narrower one to run the longer 6.5meter main front beam down. It all got down there. Followed by fetching the smaller van from over the street and getting it down to the bottom and unloading Most awesome tool unloaded. Primed Lifting Up there. I needed to get indoors to speak to some people. More later. .

So with beams going up this made me smile. Mickey was on site a lot as well. Keeping an eye that I did not build into his site. One after the other the beams went up. Shock Horror Haloween Boots Nuts n Bolts Coming together End extensions coming along. Think Garage/Service Station forecourt. Torquingup. Looking over from Mickey’s place. At this point I needed to join a three hour Zoom meeting. More in a few hours. Happy so far.
