"Very smart looking thing for what it is. Prefer the Jago shape as it is smaller and daintier than the Eagle RV shape I have." Uumm, don't like the windscreen or the hood ... The Eagle is more suited to what you'd like to achieve (in my opinion )

Good progress, I'm finding the same it's just too unpleasant outside to do anything that can be put off for while, supposed to be a bit warmer at the weekend down here though.

40 degrees in Perth today. You can put as many trimmings up as you like but it still won't feel like Christmas.

Thanks Tony. I looked at it, amd smiled at this point. Obviously a load more to get to but hey…… progress is progress ehhh? Saw this: Very smart looking thing for what it is. Prefer the Jago shape as it is smaller and daintier than the Eagle RV shape I have. I have always felt that the Jago is too small, and the front axle line is too far back, making it look as if it's going to trip over itself. I traded one about forty years ago; an unpleasant thing indeed.

"Engine and the rest seems like a huge mountain in the distance at this point, to my eyes at least." Not really, look how far you've already come ! more or less a restored rollin' chassis ... and mainly spannering going forward ! Without optimists like you, we would be in a pretty miserable place. But I love the way your mind works.

I often really don't want to go out. But have to keep busy. 40 degrees in Perth today. You can put as many trimmings up as you like but it still won't feel like Christmas. Lovely. Thanks Tony. Good on you for the momentum 😀 When I built the teardrop trailer, I used to be in the garage by 4.00 am just to find some time. 40 degrees in Perth today. Sounds like South Africa. Love the photo.

I like jeeps, camo, patina and I've always promised myself a tracked vehicle of some description...
...where's the "buy it now" button!?!?!?

You know how it is. I like jeeps, camo, patina and I've always promised myself a tracked vehicle of some description... ...where's the "buy it now" button!?!?!? It was already bought. The owner actually posted a video too on his FB feed, unfortunately I could not find it, or the youtube link. What are the brakes like? I suspect the brakes are as good as the ones we fitted (for now, till the lines are made and all plumbed in) Busy week and weekend really. Just got back from the Thames river, collecting pottery shards and river glass with Sally, also spent a couple of hours working on my end of year review which is already 33 pages long, may end up a bit longer by the time Monday afternoons review comes along. It includes sales and performance graphs, but is a long cumbersome thing to creat for an hour long grilling by two managers. Weather forecast is for 12’C tomorrow. So the plan is to make time to get back down to the garage and start on the rear end reassembly, though I have not yet bought the wheel studs needed or the shallow nuts to hold the rear adapters in place. Which are needed in order to see how it all comes together on the lower, shorter parts. Hope for some progress, as long as I do not injure myself.

Would you like some help? My my my Mr Wolf, what big ears you have. Hi Nick, Sally will be sleeping over and I don't think I will start before 11.00 as I need to be nice to her too. Of course I would welcome both your sense of humour and more importantly, your knowledge here. Plus….. two sets of hands to assemble stuff on wheels always seem to work better. You know how to get through the gate by now. Oh, and I found your small ball pein hammer on the workbench when I went to paint the chassis the other day.

And an hour later, all the forums are caught up with.
Come back summertime.

I'm always up some time between 04.00 and 05.00. I am planning to use the breaker to remove the tiles from the new bathroom area today, but I should probably wait until the wife wakes naturally. Perhaps the dog would like to go for a walk, and then I'll work on my racing car thread for a while.
