What sort of money do they come in at mate? As part of the bigger picture, I like the idea of the lettering, yours looks great. £43 for off the shelf tyre brands or £63 for custom letters. That's for a set of 4 including the glue and postage, only things i bought extra were a pair of cotton gloves, some acetone to clean tyres pre-glueing, and used a little pot and some plastic as a glue spreader to make it easier to apply the glue. |

I think that if you look at the lifespan of tyres on a car like this plus the look achieved and compare it with a good night out..... It is worth doing. |

Offsets seems to work fine, not bad for a lucky wheel find!
I was going to suggest TVR Chimaera wheels since they are staggered and have the right PCD, but this looks good.
Looks like you could even go for a 30mm spacer/ adaptor.
That might be stronger, because the studs can be pressed in more material.
225 width would look right, aspect ratio I would base on the costs and available sizes.
So maybe a 225/60R15 could be one option. Other sizes could be 215/60R15, 215/65R15.
I wouldn't put staggered tyre sizes when the rim width isn't staggered. The stretch will look different and front and rear tyres will react differently in cornering because of the different wall stifness.

Hi Grizz, thanks for nice comment you left over on my VW LT thread. I thought I'd reply....waffle.... on your thread as I'm really liking what your doing to the Eagle RV.
At the beginning of the year my missus mentioned that it would be nice to have a convertible car for the summer that the whole family (4 of us) can fit in and enjoy. She was thinking about something sensible (and boring) like an Audi A4 etc. My missus never talks about cars.....it's just not in her interest. So I thought I'd seize the opportunity and suggest an Eagle RV. Now, these have been no my radar for 20 years or so......just time and money have never aligned ( let's be honest....when do they). Once I showed her a few pictures, she was actually fairly keen on the idea.
Now.....the biggest problem was/is the sheer amount of other vehicles/projects that I all ready have. After a few months of seeing a few float through Ebay and debating whether to bid or not, I made the decision ( with my sensible head on.....for a change) to put the idea on hold as I currently have a mountain to climb where the truck is concerned. But, the long and short of it all is that I almost bought one of these at the beginning of the year, so to see yours and see your idea's/plans come to fruition is great.....and to simply say, keep up the great work....I also really like reading about all the other stuff you get up to as well....very entertaining 👍

Other than on Google Images, where I see some I like,mbut probably pricey. I am chuffed at the wheel find, and along with the 5mm spacer and adapter, the rear is wrapped up. Need a pair of adapters for the front end, 20mm or even up to 30mm as the wheels are still well within the arches, but look good with the added 25mm from the hub. Having been to my tyre shop “Just Tyres” in Stroud, that I like to support, it seems 245 - 15’s are around £200.00 per corner If you drop to 225 budgets, they are £105.00 per corner. So I need to just keep my eye open, there is always something out there. I wonder what the law says about used racing tyres. I certainly get your point on staggered sizes and will listen to that advice too. |

As an American on a different truck site said, he likes the whimsical nature of this build. I have a basic vision, but most importantly it needs to be therapeutic and fun, and also inclusive for all on here. I think a well sorted one of these can be fun for sure. Back seat, once a decent roll cage is in place, may be a bit tight. |

Remember this.......? Those with a keen eye, will see I need to get some spigot rings for the rears and fronts. Should be an easy fix, measure, order, fit.   However, I thought I would ask, in case it’s an easy fix, and someone knows the origins of the black wheel nuts that I have. Or even where to find a few. There are about 4 missing on the car that I would like to replace, as the black works well. So, advice, source, origin etc please nut guys.   Thanks as always for info etc. |

I was quoted about £60 for budgets in this size, £105 a corner should get you a nice tyre

I’ve got a good tyre place I’ve been using for years, but lately they’ve not been able to match Blackcircles.com on price. Not even close. Bizarrely, they are fitting agents for blackcircles, so I can buy them online “fully fitted”, get them delivered to my mate, who fits them and gets paid by them for doing it, and we both come out of it better off. I get the tyres for less than he can buy them for, and he gets paid more than he’d normally stick on top for a drink. Madness.

And as 205/50/15 is an OEM tyre size (albeit not hugely common) I was quoted about £60 for budgets in this size, £105 a corner should get you a nice tyre I am liking this different (to me) approach of finding tyres, as my local does not seem to have much choice at that level,and sizes. Yes, camskill is just a supplier. I find it handy to find what sizes you can actually get rather than playing guess the sizes on black circles. If you want fitting try blackcircles as they tend to be the cheapest.

I always like the look of Toyo tyres and their logos, but saying that, Nankang seems to be quite commonly used too. Opinions? |

If you needed to know what's best for a Mustang/BMW M car I could help (Michelin PS4S apparently)
I can tell you what's dangerous from experience (Linglong and Wanli) those are the most scary tyres I have ever attempted to drive on!
