Bit of an embarrassing question. There was someone with a Ford Capri on RetroRides who has/had Citroen’s wheels fitted. I cannot for the life of me remember if they were banded, regardless, I do believe they were 4x108 and could be for sale. Anyone know what I am talking about I mentioned them:  Stock 6.5 x 16" spares from a C4 Picasso, with Capri LS centre caps. I'm seeing the owner tonight, I'll check if he's still got them. |

Bikini roof was in my head from the start, despite not wanting a roof or much weather protection. After cutting the grass, I was weeding the paving in front of the garage, and found this under the storage caravan. Also found that the welding caravans one wheel that I pumped p on Monday, had blown out, so need to go get a new tyre fitted. Bikini time again: Attaching it to the front screen in a way that prevents water ingress would be a challenge, but this old trick should work. I need a longer one by 150mm or so, but this can work too. Caravan window hinge. Simple C shaped design, sew some rope onto the roof canvas/vinyl and slide it into the groove. Secure up front, attach rear tails along roll bar. Job done. Happy days.   Easy. |

Or there's a rail that attaches directly to the top of the screen frame to take the Land Rover soft top...  |

I was going to say what George just has. The screen I have for you is already drilled for a Land-Rover rail.
And you can get bikini tops off the shelf to suit, although they do need a basic frame...

I've just had to edit my post - I'd put some 15" slotmags up but have just deleted the link as I'd not counted the lug holes (there are 5 not 4!) so haven't bothered to post the link up.....
I've seen alot of 13" wellers - but nothing larger - if I do I'll post them here.
I've also seen a rickman ranger being broken too - I only mention it because it's got cortina underpinnings (and a 1.6 pinto, which probably isn't of interest).

With new tires newly powdercoated gloss black. 250 euro's and they are your's |

The screen I have for you is already drilled for a Land-Rover rail. And you can get bikini tops off the shelf to suit, although they do need a basic frame... That is good to know. Not sure if those are common, and to be honest, a full LR item may be overkill. I will look and investigate as I do not want too much structure out back, and the cover needs to live under the bonnet, or in a steel box behind the seat, with incredibly simple attachments. |

I think 15 or 16 or even 17 inch wheels, with 8” front and 10” rear would fill everything that needs filling, and creat a great look.
This thing is finding the right steels, with the right look, ie holes and centre, or Alloys that appeal to me.
You never know, weird stuff pops up at times.
The closer to et - 0 the better too.

I much prefer the look of the Jag to the Eagle, but we will make the eagle work. There's a bit of theme developing here .. this one's in Helensburgh ... or do they all go to the same place to die... bit like elephants Yup....... Seems that is the case. |
