I can only reiterate what others have said already. I've just come back from the Mopar Euros Nationals up at Santa Pod. While I was there, I got into a lengthy conversation with a chap that's restoring a 58 Plymouth Plaza amongst a load of other Mopars he owns. Now.....being surrounded by tonnes of the very best American metal ever! ( well....in my opinion it is 😎 )....I found myself hesitant ( out of embarrassment ) to mention that I was fully restoring an old VW truck. But I did mention it....eventually....and to my surprise he was very interested in what I had to say. Probably because he was just a really nice chap that liked to listen....but also, he had this to say;

" Because projects can take years to complete they have to be navigated around real life events. If you restore cars/vehicles of any kind and you talk to someone else that has done the same thing, it's not always about what's being restored, but more than often about the mutual respect of knowing the pleasure, pain, cost and just general hard work and dedication that has to go into any project to see it through to the end "

.......and he's right!

What you have there Rian is a one of a kind vehicle....done your way. I, like others, think it's great and this thread hasn't just been focused on the build, but also the journey you've been on to get there. What you have now didn't just happen over night. So....give yourself a pat on the back and keep doing what you do best.....it wouldn't be right any other way 👍🏻

One forgets that at times that these things take time, effort, and do not just happen.

Hopefully I will get back to it over the weekend, though Sally has asked for Saturday.

I have something in mind for them.

Just getting these wheels cleaned and painted will be a project in themselves.

Imagine them on the Rezin Rockit, wider tyres, detailed, painted and even lower than it is now…..

Well done. You seem to keep trucking on - a great example to us all.
Here in Minnesota, I’m claiming that the heat and humidity is keeping me out of the garage. To be honest, it’s keeping me out of anywhere that isn’t air conditioned.

I need to get my car finally running. I’m going to have to get SOMETHING done on it tomorrow.
