Sorry I don't know enough about tyres to help with what's best. If you needed to know what's best for a Mustang/BMW M car I could help (Michelin PS4S apparently) I can tell you what's dangerous from experience (Linglong and Wanli) those are the most scary tyres I have ever attempted to drive on! I bought Chinese Ditchfinders for the Transit years ago. They were certainly skittish...... But only if you drove it like it was on Pirelli’s

. ANYONE IN GATESHEAD ? ?Please.
I need to have a set of wheel adapters bought, collected and posted to me.
Seller does not want to ship or post.
So the question is, whether anyone is living there that could do this on my behalf please.
Why would you ask anyone to do that during a GOV imposed 4 week lockdown period when we are expected to stay indoors and only travel if absolutely necessary - Not withstanding the fact you could literally be asking someone to put their life at risk for you over a pair of wheel spacers. Don't get it. He didn't say when the person had to fetch. He just asked if someone lived in Gateshead who could facilitate. I would expect anyone sensible who was able to help to ensure that they did so while complying with the law and restrictions. If someone lived in Gateshead and was prepared to facilitate, then I'm sure Grizz could make payment remotely if the seller would be prepared to keep the spacers until the person was able to safely and legally collect and sort out postage. As for your inane comment that he was asking someone to put their life at risk, of course he wasn't. By your logic if my wife asked me to go buy a loaf of bread (outside of any pandemic) and I had to walk down the road and therefore potentially be stuck by a bus meant that she was asking me to risk my life. Of course she isn't. She expects me to use my common sense and not step into the road without being careful. In the same way one would expect people to use their own common sense and not put themselves at risk or break the law.

Hi Grizz, Love the look with the steels you have, great photoshopping by Fil. IN regard to the TVR Chimaera wheels mentioned the standard fit are 15" front and 16" fitment and they are definitely Ford fitment. I come from the TVR world having had a Cerbera for nearly 12 years, and you are correct you would pay a premium for them, TVR Tax, I'd expect around £500 with tyres. The car in the photo is a mates and they are standard TVR Imola wheels. Hope this helps. Cheers, Andy

TVR Imola alloys use the tyre sizes: 205/55/15 FRONT 225/50/16 REAR
and the wheel dimensions are: 15x7 ET25 16x7.5 ET32
If we only knew the offset/ backspace of the banded steelies

If you consider that I paid £100.00 for my steels, plus 120 miles to fetch them, and then add £100.00 per corner for tyres, we are back at your £500.00 Nice looking car too. I feel the the TVR wheels are not dished/offset enough for the Grizz dream Agreed redratbike , I like some alloys, but they are mostly either Japanese style, or oldskool diamond cut. So I also like, and am happy with the steels I found. Dish is important. But, and this is hopefully not seen as an arrogant statement, I would happily give them to someone who needed them, but prefer not to sell them They are 175’s iirc

And a Rockit that will find its way onto or into the Rezin Rockit. I had planned to get to the Rezin Rockit as well over the weekend, but the carport kept me busier than planned.

Title says it all. I have been given an 1800 engine and manual gearbox by mate Darren to use in the Rezin Rockit Thread: forum.retro-rides.org/thread/215488/grizz-purgatory-rezin-rockit-dunkedI am no mechanic, changing batteries in a vibrator or putting the bog roll on the right way around is not a qualifier. So I need to find a forum, possibly outside of this one, but it could be that all the information I need is right here. I am hoping that the engine and gearbox will go in, and be functional with the minimum of modifications and as few as possible wires and ancillaries Advice appreciated.

You can weld so should be able to get the engine in and mounted easily enough, it may even drop on the existing crossmember, they are similar.
Exhaust should be easy enough to make up as well. You will also need a custom propshaft.
Next thing is how are you going to fuel it, if keeping injection you will need a high pressure feed, either a tank off something like a disco or a swirl pot and pump fed from your existing tank, it will also need a return.
Then there is the wiring, theres plenty of info on kit car sites about either stripping out the mazda loom or making / buying a new one (you could use the mazda loom in it's entirity if you use the mazda switches and cluster then just change the light and wipers connectors), as well as the wiring you will need all the sensors and possibly the encoded key off the doner. Another option would be a carb and something like megajolt to drive the ignition, again loads of info out there on this.

One of the lads here had a mx5 sans all bodywork etc running. They are building a sub £1000 race car. Cant remember the name. Seems crazy to not just swap it all in and get power, economy and a decent dash?
