The 123 Dizzy is a good bit of kit. I had one on my 2CV (Bluetooth version) and I managed to improve starting and also keep the power up above too . On the Bluetooth one however, you’ll need to set your own ignition curve. The manual gives some guides, and I tweaked it a little to my own preference. They are set to a curve out of the box however . Des’s book also gives a good idea of how to go about this.

I have spoken to 123 and they said to go for the Blue Tooth version if i plan to modify the engine, but will send it with a curve suitable for car as it is now, as its standard at the moment.. sounds good ..

Reset the ignition using the book and a new timing light and its starts like a watch and cruises along nicely feeling very smooth. Running with and without the vacuum pipe connected and can feel the difference, its much smoother connected
But once I hit a long hill the misfire returns, or if i rev it hard in third, at the top of the rev ranges its misses again.
It only seems to happen on full throttle pulling hard, i can accelerate at 3/4 throttle to high revs not a problem...
I would swear it was fuel but when it did it last year but I changes the points, condenser and plugs and it went..
All the fuel system was checked and even fitted a new fuel tank..
I want to get the 123 Dizzy but i also want to sort the problem first..
Not giving up yet... i think its Dizzy out next to check the weights etc..
