Not a huge collection (though it said it was the largest rivate collection in the UK) but was worth the visit (and the sun had come out by the time we came outside again) The grounds were nice too, but the tower was closed for the reason    We also spotted a Jowett there  |

Went there a few years ago, and before that 10-15 years ago as a child. Did enjoy it, some very rare and valuable cars and some also equally increasingly rare and also not as valuable motors. The Ford Ka For example was an oddball choice but soon they really won’t be Very common at all!

Oh, and a bug eye Scorpio estate? That must be an actual museum piece, there can't be many left. I think whoever is behind this has vision.

I had my picture taken beside that Tug in 1989  There was a trail out the rear of the museum called the Skywalk,sadly it was dismantled because of insurance. |

This is only ten minutes down the road from me but I haven’t visited since I was at school, it looks to have grown considerably since then, I really must go and take a look.

Now that, to me, is what a car museum should be. Not a modern air-conditioned building full of obsessively-polished fully-restored supercars and prestige vehicles, just a completely random sprawling collection of cars and other paraphernalia brought together and put almost haphazardly for people to look at.
I'll take the white boat-sized Cadillac, the Ford V8 Woodie and the Vauxhall Viceroy please.

Yes thanks for that - we made do with spotting on recent mini break!
Wonder if they are all owned by one person or also do storage of interesting exhibits for other people. Eclectic mix of stuff for sure, is the first sign of age seeing cars from growing up in a museum ?

Legend has it his favourite car To drive was the white escort. He passed a few years back now iirc. |
