Head is off to see what's going on inside , cylinder one had a bit of rust it it but hopefully clean up ok , its a bit stuck on that cylinder to , so a bit of lube and leave it for a bit and will take some more bits off like inlet ad exhaust manifolds, then try and get it moving, Head look ok no cracks found yet , just needs a good clean up. Took off all the wheels all the drums are fubar'd one more than so..... no shoes in 3 drums and one set on the drum that's worn through to the fins all the backing plates are ok with a blast and a lick of paint , but need to weigh up what to do next really , Retrimmed the seat for now and put a saddle bag cover over it to make it useable Until I get the engine going I'm gonna leave the brakes for now , It will cost the same to convert to disc's on the front as new drums and shoes etc, though you can use 1986 rear F150 drums on the front which are cheaper, but if I end up going V8 it will have to be disc's and if I'm going V8 i might aswell change the back axle, 4 link it and then Mustang 2 IFS the front and put it air ride ...... It could be a slippery slope , hopefully the 6 will work and I can keep it all stock ,

Has come up surprisingly well with a bit of a scrub. Does it fit on the bed of the COE?

Wow Great looking COE and then I saw your most recent posts and you picked up a 51 F1. I have a 52 F1 that I have been slowly bringing back to life. Congratulations all around on the COE and 51. Will continue to follow your progress and appreciate your skills. Thanks man . that's one kool looking truck you have there to ! I have always loved the grill on them since there was one in a hotrod magazine I saw as a kid.

V8? what about a diesel in this one, might suit the truck vibe a little better I have thought about sticking a 6BT in there , there's a truck in my mates yard with one in going spare,

Stripped more off the engine on the weekend , water pump was seized hoped that was why it didn't turn over , but after a few hours to get it all off , it wasn't that sadly , big bar on the crank pulley nut and it just wouldn't move, needs more lube and some heat and a big hammer and a bit of wood to tap each piston I think , inlet and exhaust manifolds off and look at all that gunk in the inlet little stowaway mouse in the valve cover , must of gone up the breather and never gone back down , its amazing how all the old oil and grease has saved the red paint on the block . it cleans up nice I have started looking at 302's though and a mate has a 351 Cleveland going with a 4 speed.....could be fun ! my rear lights turned up to , so made a bracket for the other side and stuck them on , so at least I achieved some thing lol In other news I should be picking up the prop shaft for the COE today !

Prop shaft for the COE is exciting!!!!
I vote 351 with 4 speed, that will be a riot! Smaller box than whatever auto would sit behind a 302 or 351 so should mean less effort to fit it to the truck.

People! People!
Please don't use the crank nut to try and free stuck engines. It makes all the good works of Prof Bartholomew Leverage a complete waste of time.
Pop the starter out and get a prybar (with appropriate eye protection of course) working on the flywheel teeth.
Little bit one way, little bit back. And so on.
You know it makes sense.

Bit of a milestone today...... Out of the workshop under its own power for the first time 827 days after I got it, Brakes function, but I'm sure its still got some air in there, I need to fit the vacuum reserve tank and plumbing for the servo to work, and the engine will only idle with slight pressure on the pedal at the moment, but it flipping works !! list is getting shorter now, deffo time for some Coronas
