In some weird way the podcast appears to be twice as long as it is. Had this a couple of times now. This latest episode appears as 2h39m. Haven't listened it yet, but the previous one was the same one 2 times in row.
Not really a big thing, but I thought I'd mention it.
I really like it, have listened to all of them so far. Great work!
/edit : forgot to mention. I'm using pocket cast. A specific podcast app for my android phone. Maybe the 'problem' is at their end.

I get the same issue using Podcast Addict - another android podcast app. It's really strange if you pause it and try to rewind to get something you've missed - it's like you hit rewind and it takes you back to the future! Eg if you are on 56 minutes, and hit rewind, you can end up at 1:30 or something, and yet in the right place to hear the bits you missed. In case it's user error on my part - I used the search function to add the RR podcast - the feed URL it has is: feed.podbean.com/retrorides/feed.xmlThe podcasts are fantastic. I love the way that the recent few have been with forumites who built cool cars, and yet because you have different angles on each of them, they aren't samey, and they don't necessarily go into detail on the cars themselves. Maybe I'm just slow, but it took me a little while to work out what TAB was in this one though. @hotwire your Datsun appears in your sig - does the Porsche we keep hearing about have it's own thread?

does the Porsche we keep hearing about have it's own thread? It doesn't, I did record a video explaining why I have it at the start of lockdown, but seeing as I've not got it back on the road yet (although I did just put a new starter motor in it, so that is the first step in reconstruction!), I figured it would be better if I could film the story and drive the car as well. So hopefully before August that will be out! It is just a 2002 996 C4 Coupe, nothing particularly special, I'm also trying to do as much work on it as I can to get used to work on cars a bit more.

Just a 996 C4. Interesting choice for a car to develop your mechanicing skills on. Hope you get to drive it soon.

That’s was quite a good one, there was a few pointsI was gunna comment on but have now forgotten as the conversation moved on.
One thing you all skirt round but don’t specifically mention is Opportunity, or just sheer dumb luck. Loads of the cars I’ve built or ended up with have been because I’ve been offered or found one by chance at the right price, or I’ve engineered some kind of daft swap/deal/trade which has ended me up with either a car of parts I was not expecting. I think a lot of people end up doing the same.

Drove a couple of hours home today with Tom. The game was any car we saw on the road could be our project car for Weekender/Gathering next year, money no object and it only sort of needed to be feasible, but base vehicle had to be what we had seen... Mine was a Pug 309 with rocket bunny kit Toms was a exoskeleton mini with a bike engine Was an interesting game as we ended up discussing how we’d modify interesting stuff we saw on the road Prompted by listening to the podcast on the way up

I've enjoyed the podcasts to date but this one made me laugh out loud quite a few times.
The last build idea where you take on each others builds made me think of strangers on a train! What a great idea!

The podcasts have been regular listening for me while working from home and as Jim mentioned this one was one of the best yet - some proper laugh moments. Thanks for putting them together.
Having visited Dan at TAB a while back when picking up a gearbox, how they finish any of the cars there without being distracted by something else that's either there already or turning up is beyond me - I wouldn't know where to start! A heck of a space with some seriously cool stuff going on.
More of the same please sir.
