I would say that is a bit of you grizz. As for parts it is going to be a 'Parts bin special' for the mechanicals and body and trim will be a Fast and Furious overnight from Japan. Buy it. P.

I thought these shared a chassis with the Hilux but I maybe remembering that incorrectly Is it a Chassis built van ? It is RWD, fine, but was wondering if they were a weird concoction of monocoque and chassis. 125k miles on that 1500cc motor..... Not a lot of info about on these in order to read up about them.

It looks to be monocoque so not sure where I got that from lol. 125k on a Japanese engine wouldn't worry me, it's a basic 1.5 petrol

As Paul Y says.... Road trips rock. My new lodger sees the world like we do. He has already offered to drive me down there........ I had looked around online to see what mods can be done, the usual, lowering, and more importantly, being RWD, engine transplants. It is a longitudinal mount motor.

To be honest, I see this lifted rather than lowered. Don't ask me why.

It has to still be practical It has leafs in the rear, it's not that expensive to have brand new lowered ones made up (think it was about Β£300 from a company in Rotherham) So can always add airlift assist & lower it Seriously someone needs to buy it (thats not me, I don't fancy living in it)

If it goes who knows it may be saving me a hiding too.

If its really 1500cc and rwd, it's probably a 5K engine. Used till well in the 90s in LiteAces (and forklift trucks, but then turned on it's side). Oily bits won't be a problem I think, by the looks of it, it shares a lot of parts with a KM30 LiteAce. All the rest will be just as hard as any old Japanese car (VERY hard).

Just searched for the van to get insurance quotes.
Seems they cannot find it.
Fate?
