Has anyone used this yet, i think its very new, but I'm thinking of it for my mini to run a spi set up.
all assembled, with a nice socket on it too. not expensive, and uses tuner studio.
Has anyone got their car running on any type of speeduino here?
thanks

right I'm not 100% sure about it, ive only heard unstable things about the speeduino so far, but then that was from people who do tuning.

I've used a home assembled speeduino and i'm currently using a core4 ecu from DIYEFI. Both work great. The issue that they have is that poorly assembled units are a nightmare, the same way that Megasquirts used to be, so some "tuners" get their knickers in a twist and will flat out refuse to touch them! If your not sure about the quality, buy a pre-assembled unit as it'll save a lot of hassle if your not keen on soldering!

that seafox is preassembled and its £150... sound s a bit too good to be true I think a fully assembled Sea Fox is £230 and a kit is £150? I bought a 0.3.7 DIY kit because I'd never really assembled a PCB before and I wanted a challenge. I'm still having a few issues I need to iron out (see my thread, linked above), but nothing that would stop me from doing it again.

At the end of the day its just a board with a couple £'s worth of electrical components on which is why its so cheap. A Haltech wouldn't cost much more than £200 in parts, but you pay for the name, support and their own software. don't expect the sea fox to be perfect, but they are good!

yes, i think itll be ok. I like the idea of it being assembled, but they have put a nice plug on the board too. I think the mini a+ engine i have would benafit greatly from mapped ignition at least, but will be going for a spi unit. i think it may take a bit of setting up, but i got my bmw running a volvo b230 with lh2.4 injection running on microsquirt, so i have a fair idea what is ahead!

Just roughly mapping the ignition on an A Series will be an improvement over the distributor. I have a Megajolt on my 1330 Midas and it ran smoother on the fixed advance of the EDIS unit than it had on the distributor, adding the mapping through the Jolt took it to a different level.

thanks! that is partly what i needed to confirm! I have a mini advantage, i want to keep it 998, ive a late 998 from a metro, so its quite high compression. I think with the injection, itll drive very well. I'm not after out and out power, just it to be reliable, and nice to drive.
