You know how it goes sometimes, some car on the internet just grabs your attention - you ask yourself all the important questions:
Do I need it? - No
Do I have anywhere to put it? - No
Have I got too many cars already? - Yes
Can I afford it? - No
Is it so cheap that I'd be mad not to buy it? - No
Do you disregard all the sensible questions you just asked yourself? - Hell yeah!
One of my mates is a Trader who specialises in VW T25's but seems to have a knack of stumbling across some really cool cars (actually, he makes it look easy, but he works very hard at looking for stock and developing the right contacts so many just seem to land in his lap).
So, this week he posted on Facebook that he'd just bought a very tidy Mk1 Golf Clipper Cabrio.
I had one years ago and really like them so couldn't resist popping round to his workshop for a look.
66k miles, lovely colour, new hood and 4 new tyres. Great interior without the worn through seat bolsters so common on Golfs, what's not to like?
An hour later, after a quick whizz round the block with the roof down the deal was done and I bought it!
Just hoping this good weather continues!
