Lovely to hear you have one and are keeping it in great condition! I havent seen one in that colour before, very nice! I bet the sliding roof is welcome right now. Is the westcost a 1.1 or 1.4? I think when I had mine in 2005 it had around 28k on the clock but, unfortunately it wasn't a very nice example.

I had to go and have a quick google to see how these seats compared to those in a Polo Harleqiun. VW clearly missed a trick here.

I was trying to find a roof off one of these to weld into mine but as you say they're properly rare now. Fiat cinquecento/seicento Soleil have same style roof and I’ve got one in the shed inc motor, frame and windbreaker if you want me to measure.

The roof looks pretty much the same (at least in how the mechanism works and is constructed) as the polo open air as well. I wonder if it’s just the same roof marketed by an OEM supplier like webasto as suitable for hatchbacks and sold to different manufacturers as a drop in solution.

I think this might be it or one of the chav'd up open scandals although can't see that its had the VTS treatment www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=239172I myself had a brief period on saxperiance . I ended up reading a thread where a couple of lads were slagging each other off the other night and calling a Saxo "a mango" due to its colour . very entertaining I started looking up Saxos on ebay and gumtree and some of them are very cheap. Also, I noticed they seem to be except from London ULEZ charges. This got me thinking that when work kicks back in I could get a VTR or S to drive into the city haha. Not sure why this is as the engines must be quite old. This is the one: www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56286but most of the photos are gone Tom

There was a few of these types of special editions in the 90s. Vauxhall did the Nova Sola and Ford did the Fiesta Sunray in the summer of 91.
I can only comment on the Vauxhall, as I have one, so did the research. 100 were made, 50 in red and 50 in silk violet. Not many left now.
Manufacturers don’t seem to do these types of editions anymore. Shame.

Never seen one of these before, similar to the Polo 6N Open Air. Yep, just done a search on ebay and autotrader for an Open Air and not one for sale!

The wind deflectors may have been different but the roof was nothing too different. The Sunroof in my Ka Sun Collection was made by Webasto.
